Fairies and Goblins

I believe in Fairies

I took comfort from the thought that there are these magical little creatures out there who watch us mere human beings go about our lives.

As a child I would wish and wish and wish to see just one.

I bargained and pleaded.

But I think that at night when I slept, they came along and looked over me.

I know I am a big people. (gramma intentional), but I want to believe dammit.

Never mind. Proof , I don't need it.

The Fairy Call

A Spell for Summoning the Fairies
Sit where the cat sits.

Cross your toes.

Close your eyes.

And smell a rose.

Then say under your breath:"I believe in fairies, sure as death.

"Gadflykins! Gladtrypins!

Gutterpuss and Cass!

Come to me fairily

Each lad and lass!

From "Lady Cottington's Pressed Fairy Book"

We are allowed to let our inner children out. I think it is good for us all.
I think that with all the harsh realities of being a big people, we deserve a little magic in our lives.
May the magic of whatever your childhood fantasies you have, bring you as much fun and escape as you need to get by in the hard times.

I believe in fairies and pixies and the magic and love of teddy bears.

I am lucky enough to have a huge wonderful, multi layered garden, with which I have made various 'project area's'.

I have had great fun and many hours of pleasure putting this wonderland together. Children are always facinated and many an adult has been enchanted by all the little goodies that are hidden and not so hidden all over the place.

In each project area there is a variation of features.
In some areas there are multiple steel goodies, in others painted ceramics, (only collaged my favourites below), and there are statues in lots of places.

I have a special fairy garden, with lots of big and small fairies and fairy houses hidden in trees and all over that particular section.

My newest and latest addition is the wishing well that has just been erected (after standing lopsided for over two years - battled to get hubby motivted enough to get it put up) Its up and its wonderful!
